Days until the big day: The Big Day is Here!

Jane Egerton

Jane Elizabeth Egerton was born in February 1993 in Northern Ireland to parents Tony and Liz Egerton. Sadly Tony passed away in 2018, he is very much missed. Her childhood was spent in their family home by the sea in Holywood, where along with her sister Kathryn, she spent time rockpool hunting and being forced to windsurf by her dad! She joined Bloomfield's school for girls and met a number of friends who are still her friends today.

Following secondary school, Jane secured a place at the University of Reading to study Speech and Language Therapy. She is currently on the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme, undertaking roles in the management of a Cancer centre as well as Public Health while completing a masters in Healthcare Leadership. Jane loves baking and paddle boarding and can usually be found having coffee with friends!

Oliver Kennion

Oliver William Joseph Kennion (usually known as Oli) was born in September 1992. He is the first of three boys to Emma and Stuart. Emerging a sizeable 9lb 6oz and jaundiced, he soon grew up to become obsessed with trains, power rangers and Pokemon. The family moved to both France and Belgium for around 5 years each, he returned back to Amersham for Sixth Form to live with grandparents "Poppa" and "GB" for a year.

University took him as north as England would allow, moving to Newcastle for six years of study including Medicine and a Master's degree in computational neuroscience. Following that he spent two years in Edinburgh as a newly qualified doctor before coming back to Newcastle as a trust grade for a few years. He then got accepted into Neurosurgery training in the North East and has been doing that for two of a total of eight years. Oli enjoys cooking, weight lifting and coding!

Jane & Oli

Jane and Oli were introduced by a mutual friend Jenna whilst Oli was in his first year of university and Jane was on her gap year. They hit it off during a brief meeting in Newcastle, and it took a visit to Northern Ireland in the summer to rekindle things. Once Jane moved to Reading for university, they started to see a bit more of each other.

They spent a number of years doing long-distance from Reading to Newcastle, Jane graduated and was hunting for jobs. Just as she managed to get a job in Newcastle, Oli got his job in Edinburgh, which meant another two more years of long-distance, though they were slowly getting closer together. After those two years they finally got a flat together in Newcastle and saw out the majority of the COVID pandemic there before managing to buy a house together in Gosforth, just north of the Newcastle City Centre, where they now both live.

They never did things the easy way, but ultimately managed to do things the right way, carving out careers, multiple groups of friends and a base that they now call home. Oli proposed just shy of their 10th anniversary of being a couple, and they have never looked back. Jane and Oli love food! Whether its cooking together or going out to try something new! They also love travelling (which also includes a lot of food). They often gym together and love spending time with friends and family. Recently they have been getting more into D.I.Y as they do up their first home together. They are now extremely excited to welcome you all to Northern Ireland to celebrate the next stage of their relationship.
